1-6-06 BRIAN R. BONDURANT
"Hades' Revenge."
King Theseus and his best-friend, Prince Pirith (a satyr), visited the Underrealm. Hades pretended to offer hospitality
& laid out a feast, but as soon as the two sat, snakes coiled around their feet and arms and held them to their chairs.
HERACLES (Hercules) freed his younger brother Theseus, as Pirith's chair fell as the ground opened up beneath him. He was
left in Hades' domain, as Hercules carried his brother to safety. When he turned to re-enter the Underrealm, the entrance
sealed closed. Theseus vowed to return to free Pirith from Hades.
EPILOGUE:
HADES
(offers to his minions)
"Immortality to the bountyhunter(s) who brings
back the head of HERCULES!"
The phalanx of bountyhunters and thugs all look at one and other and slowly, casually turn to walk away.
HADES
"O.K., O.K.! Scratch that! Immortality for Theseus'
head! How's that? Just Theseus' head!"
They all come back to stand on line, again.
